What a week...

I was SO sick this week. So, So, Sooooooooooooooo sick. I went to a women's retreat last weekend, and came home sick. At first, I thought I had just a silly virus... but oh man... I was wrong. So Jeff took off two weeks of work for a staycation. And my mom and I worked really hard getting him a room at one of their timeshares for this week. I knew he could use some days away, to be able to spend time with God.. and just have alone time. He left on Tuesday, he wasn't going to go.. but I made him. It was so hard telling him to go, and inside screaming NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO I am dying.. don't leave. But, I knew I was doing the right thing sending him away. So I had a friend taking Caleb to school and picking him up. Jamey is easy, turn the tv on.. and he'll sit. Gracie was a poop. She wanted to nurse constantly, and it hurt to nurse. EVERYTHING hurt. My temp was always at 101.5. Didn't matter if I took meds. I guess it liked that number. It hurt to breathe, to cough, to sneeze, to talk. I forced food down my throat, to keep my milk supply going. I also forced gallons of water down my throat as well.
I had sleepless nights, and trying to stay away days. I had a mother calling from Central California every ten minutes. Reassuring me, that sending Jeff away... was the right choice. My wonderful Mother in law found out I was sick through Facebook.. and called me. She stepped into mom mode and took over. She came and got the boys. That helped Jeff, knowing someone was taking care of me. I ended up going into Urgent Care last night. I was in and out, in the matter of 15 minutes (which was a good thing, cause Gracie was screaming for my inlaws) I was told that I had the flu AND the bronchial virus that is going around. Lucky me :) My fever finally broke last night. I woke up this morning, feeling much better. My husband is home, and he took over. I am still glad he went, and I would do it all over again in a heartbeat. He was able to spend quality time with God. He was able to get clear direction on some decisions he needs to make. He came home rested. He came home de-stressed. That is more important to me.
I am thankful, that Gracie did not get this. She has a cough.. but that's it. She was with me constantly. It was the Grace of God that protected her from this nasty sickness. My boys have runny noses and coughs... but that isn't anything new. I HATE HATE this season.

All I am going to say is Ewwwwwwwwwwwwww

Ok, so on Saturday Jeff and I went out on a date night.(With Miss Looloo of coarse) We drove around looking at houses :) and then headed down to Phils BBQ (YUM). When we got there, there was a line. So we waited in line for about 20 minutes. In front of us, was a creepy couple... and I'll tell you why. So this guy tells us.. "My wife LOVES babies, so don't get concerned when she is touching yours." So the first red flag goes up in my head :)
So his wife shows up, and starts going crazy over Gracie.. she's touching her all over... and of coarse Gracie is loving it. So then this lady starts giving us parenting advice, and so is the creepy husband. They are thinking that Gracie is our first :) So this couple is talking about raising their daughters.. didn't have any sons.. but that didn't stop them from learning to shoot a gun, or plays sports ect...
So in the middle of them telling us about how great daughters are, the wife tells me what a wonderful father her husband is.. and how he can help teach Jeff anything he needs to know.. and he can also show Gracie how to put a tampon in someday, if we would like him to. UM!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What the heck did she just say??? I quickly look at Jeff and he is not making eye contact with me.. but doesn't move forward when the line starts moving forward. I am thinking, oh my goodness!!!!!!!!!!! Oh my goodness!!!!!!!! She did not just say that. What is WRONG with her. So they are continuing to talk to us. I am trying to study the menu.. and Gracie is thrilled with the Korean guys behind us.. who are doing everything in the power to make her laugh. I found that super cute. At one point, Gracie was holding one of the guys fingers. Yes, two grown Korean men giving my daughter attention was less creepy then the couple in front of us!
So we finally ordered and sat AWAY from the creepy couple.. and enjoyed our YUMMY ribs. When we got in the car. I look at Jeff and say, "What in the world?" "Please, please tell me that man did not help his daughters put in tampons." "And WHY, would she think its ok to say that her husband can help Gracie put in tampons someday?" Jeff told me, he didn't want to think about it, it made him sick to his stomach.
So that's my Ewwwwwwwwwwwwww story.

Oh and Gracie stoled a spoon from there! Jeff's fault!

Yes, I actually have said this..

"Stop growling at your sister."
"Get your hands out of your pants, it's disgusting."
"No, you may not have cookies for breakfast."
"Who peed in the vent?"
"If you are going to play with yourself, please do it in your bedroom."
"Never trust a fart, something else may come out and surprise you."
"We do not play with your brother's penis."
"No, I do not have a penis. No, it doesn't tickle when I go over bumps."
"Leave my breast alone, go play with your own."

.... I have many more sayings.. and I will leave the rest for another post :)

Downtown San Diego with a baby :)

Last night Jeff and I went out to dinner downtown for our good friend Marks bday. We decided to take Miss Looloo with us.. because she's very attached to me.. and she will scream for anyone and everyone. It was so weird being downtown with a baby.. and yes we got some strange looks :)
So during dinner Miss Looloo poops her pants.. and so I go into the bathroom to change her... and there is no changing table. So I put the lid down on the toilet and put her changing pad on it. Of coarse she doesn't fit, so the pad is sliding all over the place. She has poop all over her back and bum. I am holding her by the ankles bending her in half trying to get a new wipe out of those frustrating Costco wipes.. and she slides off the toilet and almost hits her head on the floor. So picture this.. she is hanging upside down, dress over her head.. poop everywhere, and I am trying to wipe off the pad, put it back on the toilet, get wipes out to clean her back and bum and put a new diaper on her. I managed.. but man was I little peeved at the restaurant for not having a place to change her. It was fun, and she was so good. All the people sitting around us, we're more interested in her, than their food. It was cute. Men we're diving under tables just to get her pacifier. It was funny to watch.

Move me on up to the first grade.....

It is a bittersweet day. Caleb graduated from Kindergarten. As I write I am teary eyed. Why is this harder than seeing him start kindergarten? Maybe because he is growing up. Maybe because I LOVE his teacher... and I will have to start all over next year. I am so proud of him. He went into kindergarten a baby, and now he is reading... and saying "oh mom!" I am mom, not mama anymore. I am doing my job, teaching him to be independent, to be able to survive in this world, without me having to take care of him. I am doing exactly what I am suppose to do... yet I am so sad. Will he stop holding my hand in public? Will he stop running up and telling me he loves me and stop giving me kisses? Will he stop telling me all about his day? Will he stop talking to me period? I was told to cherish everything. I am trying... but it's moving to fast. I turned around for a second, and he is already six and entering the first grade. Where did all that time go? Why is life speeding up full force? He is so thrilled to be getting bigger. He wants to skip 1st grade and enter the 2nd grade. He is sad about leaving his wonderful teacher behind.. but thrilled to be moving on up to the first grade. OK, enough of my depressed mood.. on to the happy day :) His school had a very special ceremony for the class. They sang us songs and his teacher acknowledged all the parents who helped in the classroom.. they got medals put around their necks.. it was a special time.. and I couldn't stop smiling. I am so proud of all those precious kids. I got to talk to a lot of the moms today, and we shared how excited we are to watch these kids grow up. Lord-willing we'll be watching the same kids graduate from high school someday. We want our kids to stay in this school.. it is such an amazing school. We are family there. I love it. I love that Jamey will be having Mrs. Larsen for his kindergarten teacher when he turns five.. and Gracie will have her in five years. So many years ago, when I was praying for schooling ideas... I am so glad I listened to the small voice... when he told me Caleb would be going to Foothills Christian School. I am glad I fought hard to get him in :)

I don't want to say this, it might hurt your feelings... but....

Your daughter looks like a boy. Augh! One of my family members said this to me. I won't name names. It didn't hurt my feelings, it pissed me off. Anyway, I think she is beautiful.. and I think she looks like a girl.. and that's all that matters!

I am so exhausted today. I went to bed at 1am. Jeff and I stayed up talking.. and then Jamey woke up at 3am with growing pains.. and wanted to be rocked to sleep.. then Caleb woke up wanting water.. and as soon as I get in bed... Gracie wakes up and wants to eat.. and then I had to get up and get Caleb off to school. So I am pooped and hoping to go to bed early.

A family member bought this outfit for Gracie... it is cute.. but is a horrible color for her. She agreed that we needed to give it to her friend Jade.. since Jade looks good in lime green.

Birth thru two weeks

Starting from the bottom... we have the day Loo Loo was born, the day she came home from the hospital, One week.. and then at Two weeks.. I will have the following weeks in another blog.. but right now my boys are screaming at each other.. and I better go and see what is going on!

Gracie is nine weeks old

I love her smile :)

So I went to the Strawberry patch with a good friend and her kids today. The last time we went there together, Caleb was three and Jamey was around ten months old. So it was fun to think back... but to be honest.. I can't stand going to those places with small kids, or babies. Gracie was hot, and she was crabby. She wouldn't eat. I even went to my car and turned on the air to get her to eat.. and she just screamed at me.

The boys had fun, but they complained the whole time. Augh I hate when they do that. They were not happy about picking strawberries.. but loved it once they were doing it.. and then of coarse, ate them all up.

It was so funny. Caleb went on the pony ride there.. and they gave him the smallest pony. I was laughing so hard. I did get a picture of him riding the pony :)

Earthquakes

So I sit here catching up on my blog and all the ones I follow.. and the room I am sitting in... just swayed back and forth. I thought to myself.. hmm that was an earthquake.. but I get on the earthquake website and it tells me nothing. So then I start thinking maybe I imagined it. Well thank God for Steph.. she just texted me and said we had a earthquake. I like earthquakes... they excite me and scare me at the same time. I know I am crazy!

Loo Loo's two months old

I would have to say this has been the fastest two months of my life. It is a blur... and it feels like forever ago. Loo loo is very long for her age. She is close to 24 inches.. and she is already in a lot of 6 month clothing. I do hope and pray she is tall, atleast taller than me.

The boys are loving her, but hate her crying. She has her two hour crabby time at night. Jeff and I trade off with her.. and she only has one volume... LOUD. Jeff told her today, that for her birthday, he is going to get her a new volume.

When I found out that I was having a girl, the first thing I couldn't wait to do... was paint her toe nails.. so I finally did the other day. No she didn't cooperate... but I got it done :)

Just smile Jamey

Jamey looked so cute today. He loves to accessorize with hats. So I wanted to get a picture of him this morning, and of coarse he was being silly... so enjoy Jamey's photo shoot!

Feel my tummy daddy

So with this pregnancy, I have told the boys when Gracie is moving... so they could feel her move. So lately Jamey wants us to feel his tummy, or to watch his tummy... because the boy in there, is moving :) So the other night we were sitting on the couch and he asked Jeff to feel his tummy... and Jeff did :) So I got pictures of it.

Then Jamey wanted to feel Jeff's tummy to see if his baby is moving :)
